About the Book
India has given some extraordinary luminaries to the world. ‘Eye on I’ undertakes an extensive exploration of six of these personalities: Adi Shankaracharya, Buddha and Mahavir from ancient times, as well as Ramana Maharshi, Sri Aurobindo and J. Krishnamurti from more recent years. The book dwells on their philosophies and core teachings, particularly as they relate to Self and Self-realization.
In addition, it contains an overview of theories of Self from all the prominent philosophies of the West and the East, as well as a well-rounded critique followed by an original synthesis providing a holistic understanding of the subject.
‘Eye on I’ awakens the intellectual curiosity of the reader and points to the transcendental reality espoused by these thinkers, which, as they indicate, is the highest possibility that life can achieve, creating an existence of freedom, meaning and fulfillment.
About the Author
Dr S B Sunit has two PhDs: in philosophy and psychology. An international award-winning researcher, his research projects and publications explore the key facets of individuality and personality. As a clinical and organizational psychologist, he has worked with thousands of individuals from all over the world, including several top multinational corporations, helping them to come to a better understanding of both themselves and others and thereby improving their lives. Dr Sunit is also a poet. He grew up in India and has given lectures in Europe, the Middle East and North America, among other countries.
